New iPhone rumours

Apple’s Worldwide Developers conference has in the past been where CEO Steve Jobs announces new products to Mac enthusiasts. On June 8th this year Mr Jobs will be absent but the announcements regarding new iPhone technology are fully expected, with the rumour mill running high.

According to this report, the new iPhone will be rubberised and be seriously beefed up, whilst this report from the Wall Street Journal suggests that there will be a whole family of new iPhones, but they won’t be announced until Jobs’ return at the end of the month.

Whatever the exact timing, there’s no doubt something is afoot: Apple and O2 are both clearing out existing iPhone inventory from their warehouses – expect some price cutting in the next few weeks leading up to announcements of the new models.
